How to add the Trash Can Icon to your Ubuntu Desktop? Ubuntu has the ability for you to add the Trash Can to you’re Desktop.

STEP 1

Press the Alt+F2 keys together to open the Run Application window.

STEP 2

In the text field type in gconf-editor and hit the Run button**.**

Locate/browse to the following location apps->nautilus->desktop

STEP 4

Check the trash_icon_visible checkbox. And the Trash Can will appear on yourDesktop. You can change the Trash Icon name if you need to or like to by changing the value for trash_icon_name.
